Unit 4 11.18-11.24

Feedback

I placed a QR code for the survey next to each item to get feedback from the participants.

More than 20 participants completed the feedback survey for this intervention. Of these, half reported a significant reduction in anxiety and more than 78% reported a greater awareness of self. All respondents agreed that if there were more interactive devices like this on campus they would be more likely to engage with them than spend time playing on their phones. I am aware that my device may not be able to provide heartfelt help in all areas, but due to time constraints this is all the data I have been able to collect for the time being, and more time is needed to research both the education system and the improvement of mobile phone dependency.

I sent the project details and feedback to Mrs Wang, and we had a video call to explain the project better. She said that although there is a growing emphasis on entertainment spaces on campus, there are not many related activities that focus on students’ psychology and self-affirmation. My idea was a very new perspective, but it still lacked some focus.

She said that through my explanation, she understood the focus of my question and that the project was relevant to the current university and high school students in China. If possible, she would consider strengthening the self-awareness of the students soon so that they can have a clearer affirmation of themselves, rather than simply going along with the crowd and gaining social recognition. Obtaining the so-called social recognition and other people’s recognition is not as important as getting the full recognition of one’s own heart. If there is a chance that we can work together, she said that she can help me contact the student union to make this project more complete and implementable. They would be able to display these installations on campus so that students could better explore themselves. The ultimate goal of self-identity and self-development is to make every student a better person.
